Here's another important video from the Personal Defense Network. Now of course, most people are likely to train in an outdoor range and with multiple shooters on the line at one time. So what we're going to look at now is how you can go through those unorthodox shooting positions without having to worry about holstering each time. That way you're not covering other people on the line next to you. And we're going to show that you can transition between them, still keeping the firearm oriented either down at the ground in front of you or downrange towards the targets. So we've got two shooters here online in front of two steel targets. Of course we're using frangible ammunition, so we don't have to worry about being this close to the targets. We don't have to worry about splash or ricochet or anything like that. We're gonna have both shooters go ahead and go to a kneeling position, maintaining a safe orientation of the firearm. And on the standard commands, you're going to engage the target with multiple shots to the high center chest area. Up! At this point, we're going to have you go down to your left side. Again, making sure that the firearm is kept in a good, tight ready position. Notice that their torso is actually touching the ground, they're not up on their arm. Their arms are free to extend, touch, and press. Up! And again, back to a kneeling position. Down to your right side. Up! Up! Up! Again, doing the reloads in as close to a good compressed ready position as you can. Back to a kneeling position. And to a seated position on the ground. Legs out in front of you. Up! Good, tight ready position. And laying back down on the ground, again, extending between the legs with the gun kept in a high compressed ready position. With the gun kept in this high compressed ready position up in here, not extended out, because again we may need to orient it in a different direction Up! Up! And back to a kneeling position. And then down to a prone position. Again, keeping the firearm tucked in close to the body. We want a good, ready position which allows us to have maximum retention and maximum flexibility of extension and deployment. And on deployment here what we're going to do is we're going to do one handed extension with targets at this range. They're actually going to use their offhand once again to lift themselves up either in a full pushup with one hand or just a partial pushup with their forearm to get them up off the ground and give them clearance to extend and engage the target. Up! Up! And back to a kneeling position. And again, back to a standing position. So you can see that we can go through all of our unorthodox shooting positions in this dirt range with multiple shooters and always keep that firearm oriented in a safe direction. It's important, whenever you try to train in a tactical environment for shooting in a realistic situation, all of these unorthodox things, or just any kind of advanced pistol handling on a range with other people that you're doing it safely, conscientiously, and of course, technically correct.
