Springfield - Worlds Collide: PDN Performance Standards Drill
Rob LeathamDescription
Worlds Collide viewers, it’s your turn! Rob Pincus and Rob Leatham shoot the PDN Performance Standards Drill and want you to shoot it and post your time on this page or on our Facebook page. How does your time compare to the two Robs?
The Drill
Rob Leatham explains the drill, which he created: there are three strings of fire, from three, five, and seven yards. From seven yards, draw and engage the target with six shots to the body and one to the head. Move up to five yards and do the same thing but strong-hand only. At three yards, draw with the strong hand, shoot weak-hand only, same number of shots. This makes a total of 21 shots.
Scoring
Any hit in the head is good. Body hits should be in the A Zone. A C Zone hit results in a one-second penalty. A D Zone hit adds five seconds, and a miss adds ten seconds.
Rob Pincus’ clock time for all 21 shots is 12.75 seconds. With four shots in the C Zone, that adds four seconds, for a total of 16.75 seconds.
Rob Leatham’s clock time is 9.90 seconds with all shots in. You’re up!
