Glock 19 Gen4
Rob PincusDescription
We are here in the Glock booth. Now, if there's one place that probably everybody wants to come every year and just say, "Hey, I went by the Glock booth," it's the Glock booth, and yet what we have here is always traditionally been a rock solid product, something that so many people choose as a personal defense carry gun, the nine millimeter Glock. The third generation is what a lot of people that come through classes carry, but more and more people are switching to the fourth-generation Glock. And of course we have a lot of new gun owners also. Now, what are the things that really you guys push about the fourth-generation Glock that make it a go-to choice for people over the third generation?
Well, just as in our third-generation pistol, the fourth gen has all the quality features, the reliability, the ease of use, the ease of maintenance, all of that, still in the new pistol. However, there are some advantages. Number one, you'll notice immediately that we have a different texture on the grip. Gen three has a fairly smooth texture. This is a little more aggressive texture here, gives you that real firm grip when you're out at the range.
Also, the back here you'll notice is a bit different, that's to add back straps. Obviously everyone has different hand sizes, so let's give them an option. So now we have four different back strap sizes that a person can use, including a beavertail back strap system. We also have a larger mag release button, makes it a lot easier for your mag changes. It's also reversible for those lefties out there.
Now, when the gun first came out, of course, you know, everybody runs around on the internets and everything was kind of like, "I don't know about the new gun." "I don't know about the new gun, maybe I just stick with the tried and true gen three." More and more often I'm seeing people say, "You know, no, there's no issue whatsoever. This is the one to go to." Today, if you walk into a store and buy a brand new gen four with all the springs, all the, everything is supposed to be the way it is, this is a gun that you guys were pushing, really as a replacement and evolution of the gen three. It's definitely an evolution. When I say replacement, boy, that's up to the customer there. I still carry a gen three myself.
As do I, as do I. Have forever, hard to break old habits. But boy, this, this gives you a lot of advantages that you just don't get on the gen three. And that's gonna be one of the things that's really important to remember here. One of the main reasons, if somebody came to me and said, "Hey, what gun should I carry?" One of the reasons we even give options besides the Glock, see, that's what I carry, is because not everybody's gonna have the same hand size as me, not everybody's gonna have that same feel of comfort that I get out of the standard size Glock grip.
This gives us the advantage to fit more people, obviously for like police departments and places where a gun's gonna be issued, this is really gonna be a great option because now, regardless of the hand size, of that smaller officer, larger officer, you know, somebody's got the big, you know, meaty hands somebody's got long, skinny fingers, you're gonna be able to accommodate them. So gen four, the evolution from the gen three, not necessarily a replacement, but this may be the one that you want when you choose a gun for personal defense. Appreciate it, Kyle. Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

I also have Gen4, It is really nice and it is all that they say it is.
I have owned a Glock 22 gen4 for almost a year. I am a relative newcomer to the handguns. I love the Glock 22 gen4... a great gun. A bit large to carry comfortably so I just placed an order for a Glock 27 gen4. I am sure I will be equally pleased with the new purchase.
I own a Gen 4. I am a lefty. Absolutely love this gun. Cannot believe how easy it is to field dress it. If I have to leave it in the car, I can take the barrel with me and leave the rest in the glove box.
As a lefty, I carry the Gen 4. No issues. Great weapon!
I have a Gen 4. I did have to put a new recoil spring in it provided by Glock at no cost to me. It stopped the jambing I was having with it. It s the only hand gun I can hit anything with I love it
