Here's another important video from the personal defense network. This ProSteel, right here, is a good representation of what a modern high-quality gun safe is really like. It has a number of great features that we can look at starting with the exterior and going to the interior. On a safe like this, you'll see it has a good subdued gloss finish with an electronic lock and the traditional turn handle brass dial, in order to actuate the locking mechanism. This is a more traditional type of locking mechanism, but the only here on the exterior, for the appearance, the interior, inside the door, is a really sophisticated six bolt locking system. The electronic lock is battery operated makes it very easy to open the safe. We go to the safe, you can see the bolts are set right here. What really makes a safe like this stand out, a lot of different, these different safes, are some of the newer features we see on them. This is a completely configurable interior. I can move some of these shelves around, space them along these track bars and accommodate extra long guns, or extra handguns, whichever I have. There's even a feature that allows me to have a shelf, even if I have some extremely long guns, because the barrels can stick up through a cutout in that upper shelf. The important thing here also is I've got door storage. The door storage is very configurable, it allows me to attach a variety of different type of pouches to these loops, much like the military's Molle system. I've got a series of pockets that are right here for storage of small items. A series of pouches for the storage of small items, and most significantly, I've got a very simple, but very functional long gun storage rack. Which will fold out of the way if I don't need it, but it really increases the capacity of the safe. None of the guns that are in the long gun storage, the way this one is, are going to interfere with anything else that's here. They've already measured that depth; so, I can make full use of the long gun storage in the safe and that door rack without running into anything. The pro steels have the different pouches that can be moved up, moved down. It is a fire rated safe, and again, fire rating is really a function of how much insulation the safe has and what type of seal protects the door. What kind of door seal that we have here. This is a big safe, it has a outlet in the back. It's got a hidden outlet in the back, which is a small port, allows a electric cord for an electric dehumidifier to be installed, without compromising the security of the safe. There's a lot of things about a safe like this. The configurations are good for most of the homeowners, most gun owners. One piece of advice we always give to the gun owner, the homeowner that is considering the purchase of the safe is: look at what size safe that you're going to need, look at many guns you've got, the equipment, the things you're going to have in the safe, and take into consideration two different things; first of all, remember for most of us, not only guns are going in that safe. For most of us, we're going to put some other things in there; jewelry, CDs of pictures, important, personal papers, documents, things like that. There's a lot of different variety. And the second thing is we look at a safe and say, find out how many guns you have, find out how big a capacity safe you need and buy the next size bigger. Most people have a tendency to grow into an object like this. Another nice feature about this safe is as we grow the interior door panel is removable. There are a variety of configurations that can be added. This can be removed and replaced with a different configuration. And once again, this is an excellent example of a safe that has the type of features and the quality build that we look for in a modern gun safe.
