Description

Being serious about Armed Defense means being serious about your practice, which is why Personal Defense Network is excited to present the FREE 5 Drills in 5 Days Challenge. This drill is set up with a 3-inch crosshair target with smaller circles surrounding it like a clock face. You will take a single shot at the crosshair target and then assess where did that shot go relative to the center of the crosshair target. Once you’ve assessed the location, focus and take a single shot at the closest corresponding circle. Once you’ve used up one magazine, you will be able to assess your shots and see if there any patterns of deviation in your shooting to help you better understand your own training.

Okay the crosshairs is drill. This drill has the one crosshair target in the middle three inch circles and then smaller circles all around like a clock face. The idea is I'm gonna to take a single shot at the cross air target, I'm going to come in and assess, the first thing to assess is where did that shot go relative to the center of the cross hair. After I assess the environment I'm going to snap my focus back to the corresponding circle, If I missed directly to the left, I'm going to look at that left red circle, fire a single shot at it, come back in and then repeat the drill, one magazine from your carry gun or your home defense gun, you're going to repeat that process, second shot if you hit high inside of a crosshair or just outside of the cross hair, if you miss high you're going to go straight to that red circle up on top. I'm going from almost 15 feet back, let's take a look. Off to the left on the line. Got the shot, got the malfunction drill in too, that's okay. Little low right. In that red circle. High right. Into that red circle. Looks like low left back into that circle. In there. Now I'm back in the circle. So now I can go ahead and take a look at that target and see what my pattern of deviation is, right? So I've got three shots down low right. I've got two shots off to the left and I took one shot high right. So no real pattern I'm pretty well centered, Maybe just suck it in a little bit as always and work on my balance of speed and precision.
