I'm here today with Caleb Causey of Lone Star Medics. And this is a very innovative way to carry the emergency medical equipment that you may need in your worst case scenario. Caleb, tell me what's going on here. This is the tactical medical solutions ankle rig. And it's carrying everything that you may need when situation arrives. So whether you've got a penetrating trauma from say like a gun shot wound. Well, we've got our tourniquet. We've also got a chest seal, and we've got quick clot combat gauze. Now a cool thing about this is this black bandage here, our ankle wrap, actually doubles as your pressure dressing. So it's a really easy, secure way to carry this stuff and for everyday carry, you wrap around your ankle and you're good to go. Now this just makes it that much easier to carry the emergency equipment that you might need. We see a lot of people with ya know, packs that are designed to go in cargo pockets, but not everybody wears cargo pockets. We see fanny packs, but not everybody wants to wear that. And of course, we all probably have bags inside of our trucks or our trunks that allow us to carry a bunch of different medical gear. But ultimately this is very minimalist. How do you feel about the average person feeling like they're prepared for that aftermath of a gun fight, for example, with just these four pieces? Well, I think it's gonna give them just a little bit more confidence or at least a little bit more level of readiness if you will. To say, okay well I'm prepared, I've already, my mind's set. I've already taken this decision or made this decision. I'm going to carry my sidearm with me wherever I go. At the same time, well, I'm also gonna make the decision that I'm gonna carry medical equipment of some sort with me. Like you said, it doesn't do anybody any good if you're in the back of the store and you've got your medical equipment stored in the back of your truck. That's not a good deal. Now you've got it on you and there's really no reason not to have this on you as part of your everyday carry. So it's kind of like carrying a mid-size Glock 9 millimeter instead of having a 308 battle rifle over your shoulder. Sure. It's just not practical. Right, it's not the cure all. And that's not what the goal, this is enough to kind of fight your way back to your bigger A bag, if you will. Or fight, similar to a pistol, fight your way to that long gun. Well, this is there to help you fight back to that A bag which is your long gun or and then even more, well the police, or the ambulance. So keep everything sustainable until the police arrive, until the emergency medical can just get there. Absolutely, yeah. We're not trying to teach people how to be the medic, just what to do until the medics get there. Awesome. Well I appreciate you bringing this to market. I think it's very useful. I think it's an innovative thing that I certainty had never seen before. And when you guys started pushing this, I thought yeah, this makes sense. And I appreciate you sharing it with us here. Hey, thank you, Rob. Thanks.
I went to their web site; they are bit pricey but I suppose some kind of wearable medical kit is important. Just checked my medical kit on the work truck and found nothing in it. Then I checked the medical kit at the plant and found nothing in it, which brings me to the conclusion I need to carry something myself.
When I was first introduced to this in early fall of 2013 in one of Caleb's training courses I was skeptical about the comfort and conceal-ability. Decided to give it a try and wore it for 60 days every day including office environment, international travel and plant construction site. It worked really well. I recommend it. Absolutely essential carry gear in my opinion. Of course, make sure you know how to use it effectively.
