Alaskan Gun Guard

Description

The Alaskan Gun Guard is a great way to protect your rifle from inclement weather in a hunting or other outdoor transport situation. It also allows you to quickly and quietly get access to the rifle. The weather- and water-proof cover is held together by magnets, which are key to the quick and quiet access. The Gun Guard covers the scope and the action of the rifle.

Rob Pincus likes the Alaskan Gun Guard from both design and usefulness standpoints. It’s available in three different options for scoped rifles, unscoped rifles, and ARs.

A friend of mine showed me this Alaska gun Guard recently and I thought, you know, what, let me share this with, uh, the good people that watch personal defense network are out there on the internet anywhere looking for a way to protect their rifle, particularly in a hunting situation, um, from inclement weather, but be able to quickly get access to the scope, but also quietly get access to the scope. I think that's really important. So these are actually magnets that hold this, uh, weatherproof, waterproof, uh, situation all around the scope and the action of the gun. So if I were moving into position, you know, or honestly, even if I were just sitting somewhere, maybe, uh, before the sun comes up or after the sun goes down, I'm waiting for my ride, pick me up or if I'm gonna hike back out from my sitting position when I'm hunting, uh, this would be great, great way to cover up, uh, that expensive scope and the action that you certainly don't want to get anything in. Um, obviously, it can be cinched down at either end and made tight. Um, and again, this magnetic closure is really nice because you imagine you're in a situation where you are walking in, you know, I could be carrying the rifle in this situation. Maybe it's even slung. I have a shot of opportunity that's safe to take on appropriate game and I can very quickly and quietly get this opened up. Um, it's not gonna be a Velcro, it's not gonna be a zipper, it's not gonna be anything. It's gonna be terribly noisy. Get that out of the way. Um, the magnet will actually hold it on the gun if you want or you can take it all the way off. Uh, we'll take a look inside and you can see that. Um, it's a little bit less, uh, rugged on the inside. Right. This is a little bit more abrasive here. It's gonna protect from the scrapes and scratches of the truck and the sticks and the rocks inside. It's gonna be a little bit softer on the gun except for right here. Um, where it is reinforced around the sharp parts of the trigger guard, the bolt. Uh, you're gonna not get as much wear there. So if you do set this down, so you're not gonna push through. Um, I'm pretty impressed with it, um, from a design standpoint and a usefulness standpoint, the Alaska Gun Guard, um, they have options for scoped rifles, unscooped rifles and an A R application which is a little bit wider. That's actually the one I got and that's why it looks a little bit big on this, uh, bolt action gun. But, uh, this would look like a good hunting rifle and this is something I'd want to take with me if we're taking this piece of art out hunting.
