You read that correctly. Another incredible story of a bad guy being stopped in advance of a mass shooting has surfaced, this one from Club 3208 in Huntsville, Alabama.
A woman named Latoya was working as a private security officer in the club when a fight broke out, nothing unusual…..
Until the suspect, Samuel Williams, a convicted felon, went to his car, still upset about the fight and the ejection from the club. He reappeared after grabbing an AK-47. He began shooting.
Latoya sprang into action and gained an advantage, using cars for cover and concealment. She knew that she was the only armed officer on site. She knew that it was up to her to take action, as the shooter began moving toward the club entrance.
Latoya was quoted afterwards, saying “He started to make moves towards the door he still was firing off shots. I decided that I had to make a choice–to go ahead and stop him from entering the club. I was behind a vehicle right here at this first handicap parking spot and basically just maneuvered around the vehicle as he maneuvered around the other side of it to make sure I was properly concealed and covered”.
1:50 She states that she carries a medical kit that includes a TQ
She used her handgun to put down the suspect and stop the threat. She did everything right in the moment and for that, we salute you Latoya! Details are sketchy on Latoyas background at this point. Regardless, this was a story that is getting little attention, even though she stopped what could have been another mass shooting event.
What are your thoughts on “guns in clubs”? Is the club one place that they do not belong, regardless who is drinking? Let us know what you think now!
If your not drinking there is no reason you should not be aloud to carry in a club. Security for a club should definitely be armed if possible. There have been several of these stopped in areas where they allow guns in clubs. You never hear about them though almost like someone is trying to cover up. The fact good guys or gals with guns save lives.
I don't understand why the security guard didn't want to give her full name for safety reasons but put her face in front of the camera. Also, did I hear right.....the guy that did the shooting is out walking the streets? We want to make tougher gun laws but it's OK to let someone who might kill someone free.
